Parenting on Mars: Transforming Parenthood, One Family at a Time

Parenting is a journey filled with joys, challenges, and a deep desire to connect meaningfully with our children. For Rachael Fritz, founder of Parenting on Mars, this journey has been both personal and professional.

Originally from Conneaut, Ohio, Rachael now calls Glencoe, Illinois home, having moved to the north shore in August 2023. Since launching Parenting on Mars nearly two years ago, she has dedicated herself to empowering parents to navigate the complexities of modern parenting with compassion and evidence-based strategies.

“I always thought motherhood would come naturally to me,” Rachael shares. “As a preschool teacher and self-proclaimed perfectionist, I had a nurturing personality and a strong foundation in child development. But after my first child was born, I found myself overwhelmed and unsure. It wasn’t until I sought help for postpartum depression and

anxiety that I began to find joy in motherhood again.”

That transformative experience ignited a passion in Rachael to help other parents who feel stuck or defeated. Through her coaching program, Parenting on Mars, she offers a range of services, from affordable one-time sessions starting at $27 to an intensive 90-day program that fundamentally reshapes the parent-child relationship.

“What I offer is more than tools,” Rachael explains. “Anyone can Google strategies, but generic advice rarely sticks. My approach is parent-centric, building confidence and connection from the inside out. Together, we create solutions tailored to each unique family dynamic.”

A Mission for Generational Change

Rachael’s work isn’t just about fixing immediate issues; it’s about creating lasting transformation. “This is lineage work,” she says. “The changes we make now will ripple through generations. My goal is to equip parents not only for today’s tantrums but also for the challenges of tomorrow—whether it’s managing a moody teenager or navigating life’s unexpected turns.”

Her clients agree. One local parent, Meggan Teague, shares: “I feel like a ROCKSTAR! Your coaching has helped me to realize things I didn’t know were there within me. I’m seeing a ton of progress, and it’s a BIG DEAL. My family is thriving.”

Rachael’s Parenting Philosophy

Rachael believes the foundation of a child’s success—whether academic, social, or emotional—lies in their relationship with their caregivers. “The best thing you can do for your child is to form a secure attachment,” she advises. “It’s the key to unlocking their potential in every aspect of life.”

Despite the challenges of her work, Rachael finds immense joy in the results. “My favorite part is seeing transformation happen,” she says. “When parents tell me their family dynamic has shifted for the better, it’s everything.”

Remote Coaching with a Local Touch

While Parenting on Mars operates remotely, making services accessible to clients anywhere, Rachael feels deeply connected to the local community. As a mom of three—ages 9, 6, and 4—she understands firsthand the complexities of parenting. “I practice what I preach,” she says. “Every strategy I recommend has been tested in my own home.”

For parents ready to embark on a transformative journey, Parenting on Mars offers a supportive and personalized path. Whether you’re seeking small shifts or a complete overhaul of your parenting approach, Rachael is here to help you reconnect with your children and rediscover joy in the process.
